Chloe Grace Moretz Goes From “Kick-Ass” To “Carrie” And Does It Well!

Chloë Grace Moretz (known for her roles in Kick-Ass, Hugo, Dark Shadows and Let Me In) stars in her first lead role as Carrie, which came out in theaters October 18th just in time for Halloween. Replaying the classic Carrie White, an outcast at her school and sheltered from her overly religious mother, Moretz does an outstanding job of finishing the tale when she unleashes telekinetic horror upon those around her after being completely embarrassed and doused with pig’s blood at her senior prom. This is not only the star’s first lead role, but it is also her first seriously scary role.

Playing the role of the R-rated Carrie in this remake of the 1976 original film based on Stephen King’s novel is Huge for Moretz. Trying to uphold the original Carrie (played by Sissy Spacek) and working with legendary actress Julianne Moore and director Kimberly Pierce (Boys Don’t Cry) is enough to make anyone intimidated. However, the 16-year-old starlet claimed this was the perfect character for her first lead role. Auditioning for eight hours before offering her the role, director Pierce said of Chloë, “This is where she had to make that transition into more grown-up roles, and I felt that she could.”

As far as her character on the big screen, Moretz is nothing like her. She is not rebellious and has a great relationship with her mom. She is actually very inspirational when she says “Rebellion for me is staying out 30 minutes past my curfew. This is my life, so why would I rebel against it?” We could all learn a few things from her! In face Chloë was recently in Seventeen Magazine and shared a few of her lifestyle tips. I think this girl knows what’s up and has the right ideas for happiness and success! Read below her comments on friendship! We still think she is “Kick-Ass!”
